Hello ,

Thorough Christmas and into the new year, God has been impacting lives thorough 106.9 the Light. Here are two first-person examples from the past month.

This is from an anonymous listener: “I want to thank 106.9 and Dennis Rainey (Family Life Today – M-F 8:30 a.m.) for saving my marriage yesterday. (editor note – God gets all the credit.)

A lot people don't know my husband is in jail. They just think his job keeps him on the road a lot. My family wants me to divorce him; my mother has offered me money to file for divorce. My husband and I decided that perhaps splitting up may be the best thing, after all. Yesterday, while visiting him, we decided to go ahead and divorce. BUT, when I started my car to leave, Dennis Rainey said ‘divorce is not an option, no matter what.’ I knew right then God had spoken through Dennis to give me the answer I had been searching for. My husband and I knew we had no biblical grounds for a divorce and we had always said that no matter what, we’d never divorce, and with God's help we would work through any problems that faced us. Even through all we’ve lost.

Thank you for what you are doing. Your songs and sermons are a great inspiration to me and my family.”

Bill in Hickory shared this with Matt and Carol: “I owe you a debt of thanks. God has used you in recent weeks to strengthen and encourage me during some rough times. I'm an Iraq veteran -been back for a couple of years. In that time, I have changed jobs, moved to a new state, sold my truck, sold several things to keep my family going, and dealt with family medical situations. It's been a tough couple of years. At times, I've joked that I needed to return to Baghdad so I could have a rest. At the suggestion of a co-worker, I started listening to 106.9 the Light going to work & back. The Lord has used you to encourage me when I felt I'd hit dead bottom. Days I couldn't do more than just the task in front of me were brightened by listening to other believers.

Don't know what else to say, except it's always good to know you've been used in someone's life, so I wrote to say so.

It is indeed good to know you’ve been used in someone’s life. To you who pray and support financially this ministry, God has used you, in these lives and in others you may not know of until we’re all called home.
