Nokia's Powerhouse Communicator
If the Nokia N-series is all about being tops in multimedia phones, then the E-series is all about messaging. The unlocked E90 Communicator, though, could be seen as the best of both worlds: a capable multimedia phone with a full, roomy QWERTY keyboard. Along with stellar voice quality, the E90 comes with dual screens, dual keyboards, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, and a great software bundle.

The BlackJack II Smartphone Is a Winner
The Samsung BlackJack II (SGH-I617) is a sleek update on the popular original BlackJack. The sequel features a new design and add-ons like a GPS radio, TeleNav GPS navigator, and access to AT&T Video Share.

MS Office Underwhelms on the Mac
Mac users have been waiting for Office '08 for a while now--after all, Windows users got their upgrade about a year ago. Trouble is, now it's become pretty clear that all that patient waiting was for naught. Office '08 for the Mac OS may be the go-to one day, after a couple of bug-fixing upgrades, at least.
Find out where it fell short in our review.
Two Workhorse Color Lasers from Konica Minolta
Konica Minolta has two new color laser printers shipping in the first half of January, and both are designed as heavy duty workhorses for a busy small office. But the $400 price difference does suggest that the lower priced model may not be as much a workhorse.
Check out which one may be the better fit for your office.
The Wireless King of the Hill
If you just have to have a draft-n router, then you can't go wrong with the Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link WRT600N, which is why it gets the Editors' Choice for the current crop of draft-n routers. This feature-packed router looks cool and performed well on tests.

AppScout: Microsoft Office 2003 Abandons Support for Older File Formats
So much for rolling out new features. Microsoft isn't exactly going around advertising it, but if you've downloaded Service Pack 3 for your copy of Office 2003, you may have noticed that the latest release actually features decreased compatibility with old file types.
Head on over to AppScout to find out what that means for you.
