Welcome to the digital music newsletter and happy new year! I can't believe yet another year has come and gone but let's hope 2008 will be even better for digital music users. As many of you no doubt know, the RIAA are always in the news and this week is no exception. This week, the Washinton Post have a news item which implies that the RIAA regard CD ripping as illegal - can this be true? Find out by reading the latest blog. Following on from the blog, I thought it would be a good idea to write about the 'dos and don'ts' regarding CD ripping and copying. It's a good primer for all those who are not sure of the legalities.
