Our family lives in our "Living Room" and that is where the TV is. However, I hate large entertainment centers that take up so much space. A low console would be ideal, any suggestions? C.F. Martinez, GA

Many of our entertainment centers have various configurations available to set the perfect stage for your entertainment needs. If a base and hutch configuration feels like it will overtake your living space, the base is available by itself and still is capable of keeping your components organized. For instance, the base of our Marseille entertainment center has a glass door for remote control access to the items on the adjustable shelves and storage behind the two side doors. Remember that Havertys also offers several designs specifically for plasma TVs.

What is meant by 'Accomodates a 60in TV'?

A fact not widely known is that the measurement given with a new TV usually refers only to the screen size. Before heading out to the store to search for a new entertainment center or TV, make careful note of the correct dimensions.

  • For the width, measure your TV or entertainment center from one corner diagonally to the opposite in an X pattern, including speakers if attached to the sides.
  • For the height, measure your TV or entertainment center from the very top to the bottom of the base.
  • For the depth, measure your TV or entertainment center from the very front to the furthest point in the back. If you purchase a unit with doors, remember to allow a couple inches of clearance between the doors and the front of the TV.
