Denver Doings
Time for my yearly poem!

Twas December 25th
I hope everyone is happy
Now I bring you a poem
That will probably seem sappy

For most of us all
Tis a time of good cheer
But then there are those
Born on this day of the year

The unfortunate thing
What the definite shame is
That they have to share their birthday
With someone much more famous

Sure, Parrotheads know
This too is Jimmy Buffett's day
As do all of those
Who got in Larry Csonka's way

Or Barbara Mandrell, Dido
Even Annie Lennox too!
Do they get separate gifts each year?
I don't think so, boo hoo hoo

Sissy Spacek probably heard
“Oh we just got you one big gifty
Instead of getting you two presents”
To which she thought “Oh, hey, well nifty.”

To all you born on this day
I hope you got gifts a-plenty
And perhaps you could move your birthday
To June 19 or 20

And to all my reader(s)
Whether landlocked or on an isthmus
(Why did I use that word?)
(Nothing else rhymes with) Merry Christmas!

Thanks for reading!

Past, present and future
How Denver lost: On the opening possession, Denver drove to the San Diego 18-yard line before Jay Cutler fumbled the ball away to the Chargers, who quickly took control, running, passing and dominating the Broncos to the point that several San Diego star players were able to rest after the midway point of the third quarter. San Diego's 23-3 victory, coupled with a game the Chargers won in Denver in October, gave it a combined 64-6 score against the Broncos this season. FULL STORY
