Pop Spirituality from a Cultural Point of View
A Greeting Card Christmas Revisited -- Revisited!
David HeadshotDavid Bruce, Webmaster

Our culture does influence us more than we know. We are victims of our pop culture.

We believe both things that are fiction and things that are true. And we can't always tell the difference.

Separating cultural fiction from biblical truth can be difficult, as the traditional Christmas story points out.

In 1998, I took a detailed look at the greeting card version of the Christmas story.  And you know what?  It looked an awful lot like the version we tell our kids in church, but no so much like the story that the Bible tells.
