Good ideas all around

Let me lead off with some congratulations to the Houston Rockets. Not on their record; they're a game below .500, staring up at the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs and wondering “Why aren't we in the Eastern Conference, dangit!” No no, I congratulate them because they have a team name that is original. Houston, Space City USA, Rockets. A shame they ran out of that creativity when it came time for the new football franchise.

Thos Houston Rockets, not the Houston Texans nor the Houston Harris Countians, are in town to face the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. The creativity starts at 7 p.m.
