Bankruptcy Bootcamp
Many other homeowners find themselves struggling with confusing and possibly unfair late fees when it comes to their mortgages. That's why lawyer Max Gardener has instituted a program to help train other lawyers in how to sort through these fees and better serve their clients. It's called bankruptcy bootcamp, and it's a four-day retreat set in the idyllic hills of North Carolina, not where you would normally expect to find lawyers gathered. But they come from around the country to Gardener's retreat to learn how to dissect their client's records, rooting out the hidden fees some mortgage services charge.
The Preacher's Wife
For years, everything about Rick Warren has been larger than life, from his megachurch, Saddleback, with its tens of thousands of members, to his best-selling book and its millions of copies. But now, Kay Warren -- his wife of 32 years and mother of his three children -- has moved into the spotlight. She has focused her time and energy on stopping AIDS. Warren says she isn't sure what made her notice that particular article on that particular day, or why she had been oblivious to the issue beforehand. Read the rest her story here.
