After weeks of inaction, the Senate is poised to begin voting on the farm bill on Tuesday. The bill being debated on the Senate floor continues the multi-million dollar payments to the nation's largest farms.
Powerful opponents of reform have used the weeks of Senate inaction to lobby for the status quo. Without real reform, the 2007 farm bill will continue the destruction of family farming and rural communities.

Call the number on the right, and urge your Senator to support the Dorgan-Grassley amendment to close farm program loopholes and end unlimited payments. The amendment reinvests the savings in programs that support family farmers and ranchers, rural communities and the environment.
