realize things are crowded in the store at the moment. Please
bear with us. We are stocking up so we can give you instant
gratification. And one more thing...complimentary gift

We have a few author events in December which you can read
about below. The calendar will be back in full swing in
January. Speaking of which, we will be open January 1st again
from 1 pm to 5 pm. Check our website for other holiday hours.

Clara Silverstein
Join Clara Silverstein and the Workshop of Publishing Poets
for "Eat Your Words: An Evening of Essays and Poems about
Food." Clara Silverstein is the author of two cookbooks, The
Boston Chef's Table and The New England Soup
Factory Cookbook with chef Marjorie Druker, and the
memoir White Girl: A Story of School Desegregation. A
former food writer at the Boston Herald, she has also
been a contributor to Health magazine, Runner's World,
the Boston Globe, and The Oxford Encyclopedia
of Food and Drink in America. Her poems and essays have
been published in literary magazines including Blackbird,
The Paterson Literary Review, and The Runner's High
anthology. She is Program Director of the summer Writers'
Center at Chautauqua in western New York.

Gloucester Fishermen's Wives Cookbook: Stories and Recipes
Susan Pollack is an award-winning journalist and the author of
the recent Gloucester Fishermen's Wives Cookbook: Stories
and Recipes. She is now working on a memoir about her
years reporting on life at sea and in fishing communities,
including Gloucester, where she and her husband, a poet and
boat builder, have made their home in a 1735 fisherman's
cottage.
Note: This event is part of the PEN/NE monthly
reading series and takes place at the Hotel Marlowe. Please
