It's very cold in Seattle and there are some storm fronts moving in so we're expecting snow this weekend. The office cats have started sleeping on the desk that is in front of the heater. It's made out of glass and makes a nice warm bed for them. One of the house cats thinks she's a dog and spreads out in front of the fireplace with the Italian Greyhound. Not a lot going on this week. I've been chain smoking LGC Corona Gordas. Enjoy the specials.

I have taken the opportunity to escape Scotland for a couple of days. Don't get me wrong - the people (and the whiskies) are great but the smoking ban we have there is downright ridiculous. I decided I needed a change of scene so the wife and I are visiting our sister store in Hamburg this weekend. Its a win-win situation because she speaks fluent German yet hasn't been here for years, and i smoke like a chimney but haven't been able to light up in my cigar store for two years
I have to tell you, I forgot how cold Hamburg was in the winter! I just grabbed a beautiful, dark and oily PSD4 from the humidor before my jacket was even off and got that bad boy lit up straight away. The PSD4 is a glorious smoke that has never let me down but this was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had with this cigar. But why, was it the cigar? Was it the environment? Was it the cold? Was it the anticipation? WHO CARES!!!?? it was bloody brilliant.
