Loreena McKennitt On Tour With Yamaha
New York (November 27, 2007)--Loreena McKennitt embarked on a North American tour this fall, and Allstar Show Industries provided production for the journey. Clive Alcock, one of three directors of the company, mixed house on a Yamaha PM5D-RH connected to the new DSP5D Expander via a Yamaha DCU5D. An additional pair of PM5D-RH consoles were used for monitors with an Aviom interface card in one of the PM5Ds. Alcock has been mixing live sound for McKennitt on and off since 1992.

Laurie Anderson Takes On Eventide
Little Ferry, NJ, (November 27, 2007)--Artist Laurie Anderson has applied the Eventide H8000FW digital effects processor on her new album, Homeland (Nonesuch), and incorporated the sounds into performances on her recent European and U.S. tour. Recognized worldwide as a groundbreaking visionary in the use of technology in the arts, Anderson has also been a longtime collaborator with Eventide.

McCauley Hangs With Lady of Lights
Toronto (November 27, 2007)--ACS Productions Sound and Lighting of Ontario, Canada recently deployed a new McCauley M.Line compact line array rig for Toronto's festival of the Lady of Lights, working with local provider 5 Star Productions.

MusicTech Summit Wrap-Up

Wicked Comes to the German Stage
Stuttgart, Germany (November 27, 2007)--The latest production of the hit musical, Wicked, has opened at Stage Entertainment's Palladium Theatre in Stuttgart, bringing the total to seven worldwide, including the U.S. tour. Sound design is by Tony Meola, with Kai Harada as associate sound designer, featuring the show's trademark 90-input Cadac J-Type live production console and Meyer Sound M1D and M2D line-array systems.
