BBC INSIDE SPORT PRESENTER GABBY LOGAN
Hello everyone, Gabby here.

What a weekend for the England football team - talk about the Great Escape! Nobody predicted Israel would beat Russia leaving England needing only a draw against Croatia at Wembley on Wednesday.

Northern Ireland can also still qualify though commiserations to Scotland who went down fighting and have exceeded all expectations in this qualifying competition.

The issues that worry a lot of fans have not gone away, however, and on tonight's show we'll be joined by a couple of special guests - the former England player Paul Parker and the former Scotland manager, Craig Brown, to look forward to Wembley and beyond but also to look at the state of football in Britain today.

So far in this series of Inside Sport, I've met a lot of top sportsmen and women but in many ways, the subject of this week's interview was the person I most wanted to meet.

You may think of Justine Henin as a world class match-winning tennis machine - and she is - but her life has also been touched by tragedy.

Even before she was born her sister died. Her mother succumbed to cancer when Justine was only 12.

There followed a long period of estrangement from her family and a divorce after a short marriage but this year she says she's the happiest she's ever been - yes, winning on the tennis court, but, for her, getting back together with her family has been almost more important.

I was struck by how open she was when we talked and I think you'll agree it's quite an extraordinary interview.

Join me for Inside Sport, BBC ONE at 11.20pm.
