BBC INSIDE SPORT PRESENTER GABBY LOGAN
Hi everyone, Gabby here.
There's been few more engaging characters in British football over the last 30 years than Gordon Strachan.
Known for his bubbly personality and deadpan humour, you often forget what an impressive CV he has - a hatful of domestic and European trophies with Aberdeen, English league and cup success with Leeds and Manchester Utd, two World Cups and 50 caps for Scotland - and that's before you mention the impressive start to his managerial career.
I spent a couple of typically entertaining hours with him this week.
We spoke about his relationship with the media, the resurgence of Scottish football, managing in the boiling pot that is Glasgow and his relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson.
As ever, he's great company.
And from one wee man to one big woman... Also on tonight's show we feature the sport of sumo and, in particular, the hopes of 25-stone Londoner Sharran Alexander as she prepares for next week's World Championships in Thailand.
Before she headed east though, she first had to face a bout with our own Tony Livesey.
Who came out on top? You'll have to tune into tonight's Inside Sport to find out. BBC ONE, 11.20pm.
Hope you can join me.
Inside Sport, Monday 12 November, 2320 GMT, BBC ONE.
