Why Democracy? |
| |
Why Democracy? - Kazuhiko Yamuichi has no previous political experience when he is selected to fight a crucial council seat for Japan's governing Liberal Democratic Party. Campaign is a documentary that captures the party's ruthlessly efficient campaign operation as it swings into action behind its somewhat bewildered candidate.
BBC World also shows another documentary which looks at an elementary school in central China where eight-year-old children compete for the position of Class Monitor. Please Vote For Me is an eye-popping story of negative campaigning and shameless bribery.
