The purpose of this note is to extend to you and your colleagues an invitation to attend AdaptiveXchange2007 Training Conference.

You are cordially invited to AdaptiveXchange2007 -- to be held November 29 and 30, 2007 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Produced and hosted by Emerson Network Power -- the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity.

 

There is no fee to attend any of the briefings, technical sessions, the Government Track briefings or the expo.

This one-hour course will guide the data center manager through best practices based on FEMA guidelines for the

development of a facility emergency operations plan. Included will be checklists, best practices summaries and outlines.

The attendee at the end of the hour will have tools that can be used immediately to develop or update their facility

emergency operations plan

  • Workshop - Disaster Planning: Assessing Vulnerabilities, Hazards, Activation Triggers, and Developing "Levels of Response”


    This one hour course will examine emergency action planning organization, responsibilities and assignments. The attendee, at the end of this session, will be provided with check lists, sample organization charts and responsibility lists.

  • Briefing - VoIP

This 45 minute briefing will present recent trends in VoIP technology and solutions and their application in major government communications center application.  Impact on the data center due to technology, integration and increasing security demands will be discussed. 

  • Briefing - Federal Energy Conservation

Federal Policy mandates and strategies to reduce the power consumption at large government data centers.  Policy initiatives, R&D, technology applications will be presented. 

  • Briefing - Energy Efficiency

Energy Efficiency - designing energy efficiency in the first LEEDS certified data center

  • Panel Discussion -  Purchasing Trends in Government -

 Methods to Engaging Resellers to meet your IT Integration Needs and Set-Aside Categories 

In addition, the following technical infrastructure training sessions are available to all attendees such topics as:

  • Power Distribution

  • Rack Management

  • Availability Assessments
