In the name of making the web more social, Google Inc. announced yesterday that it's offering web developers an open system to create applications across the web, similar to the system Facebook recently implemented.

As the emphasis on creating conversations with consumers has grown, the word "conversation" has taken on a greater meaning. What does it mean to your company, and are you engaging in conversation genuinely?

Yesterday MySpace announced that it will host the second annual "Rock for Darfur" event, in which 37 bands will play at different locations throughout the world on Nov. 10. The event is being promoted via MySpace, including an event page at http://www.myspace.com/RockForDarfur. Folks can support the cause by attending one of the concerts in their area.
