Upon hearing the news about the horrific massacre of family pets in Puerto Rico reported by the Associated Press on October 12, 2007, two Care2 members created petitions urging Puerto Rican officials to enforce strict laws against animal cruelty and to implement humane programs to ensure this heinous act doesn't happen again. So far, more than 15,000 people have signed these petitions.
