REVIEW: A+
Adventures in Education (AIE) is an information-packed site with resources and information for anyone interested in planning for and financing higher education. Middle school, high school, and college students, parents, teachers, librarians, and counselors will find sections devoted entirely to their interests. Students can learn about how to pick a career by accessing their interests and developing a career plan, or learn how to pick schools by gathering information and evaluating their characteristics. There is also information on applying for college, paying for college, and a searchable database of over 10,000 scholarships as well as links for homework help. Parents will find answers to financial aid questions, savings options, and a chart of college costs. Free resources are available for teachers to help meet the requirements for teaching financial and money management skills to students. Additionally, visitors to the site can view a financial calendar to stay on tr ack with the college admissions process, frequently asked questions about careers, planning, choosing your college, applying, paying and jobs, and an English-Spanish glossary of standard terms relating to student financial aid and postsecondary education.

ProProfs Flashcards
Fabulous flashcard site, with one million online, and you can make more!
http://www.educationworld.com/awards/2007/r1007-24.shtml

REVIEW: A+
Proprofs Flashcards is a site that could come in handy for teachers or students needing to study for tests. This site has an extensive collection (over one million) of existing flashcards covering a variety of subjects ranging from chemistry to psychology. The flashcards are organized into nine categories of over 10,000 sets and are free of charge to anyone. Flashcard sets can also be created and edited by the user allowing teachers to create sets for their students to study or for students to create sets to study during crunch time. The interface is user customizable down to the font size, text and page colors and can be personalized with logo or name. Cards can also be embedded and directly accessed from a class webpage or personal home page. All sets can also be "tagged," or given keywords that users can enter when searching for the cards they need most. Tagging allows for a more specific categorization of sets of cards.

NSTA: Science Objects
The National Science Teachers Association online "refreshers" on various science topics.
http://www.educationworld.com/awards/2007/r1007-22.shtml

REVIEW: A
This is a great resource for teachers who are new to the teaching profession or just need to brush up on science concepts before taking on a new course. The Science Objects are interactive multimedia lessons based on science literacy goals in the Standards and include interactive simulations, audio, questions to ensure understanding, student misconceptions to watch out for, and practical ideas for addressing them. Each Object covers a key content idea such as Newton’s First Law, Global Climate Patterns, The Origin and Evolution of the Universe, and Mendel’s Principles of Heredity.
