State of the P***t (Part 1) |
| |
In recent years there has been a growing realisation that the human race is living beyond its means and the current model of development is unsustainable. Disappearing rainforests, diminishing fish stocks from over fishing and toxic emissions are just a few of the things which are placing an increasing burden on the p***t. Have Your Say |
| |
Following the apparent heavy defeat of Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski's Law and Justice Party in the Polish general election, the Prime Minister elect, Donald Tusk, has vowed to improve relations with Russia and the EU. He is also expected to cut the welfare budget and taxes to create what he calls an "economic miracle", encouraging expatriate Poles to return home. Have Your Say is presented by Emily Buchanan, who is joined by Radoslaw 'Radek' Sikorski (pictured) who was the defence minister in the Law and Justice administration until he quit the party earlier this year. He later joined the Civic Platform and is now in line to become either the defence or foreign minister in the new administration.
