Watch Your Wallet and Your Waistline
If you're trying to lose weight, you're probably paying a lot of attention to portion sizes. One easy way to beat portion distortion at its own game: measure, measure, measure. The Food Cuber tray set, invented by a single mom in Oregon, is a great time- and money-saver for folks on a weight-loss plan. You can buy your foods in bulk, but store them in not-so-bulk sizes to help ensure you don't overeat. If you're allowed a half-cup of baked chips per day on your plan, pour them into the half-cup trays the second you get the bag home from the store. Or freeze a week's worth of soup for lunch in the one-cup size tray, and pop the perfect portion out into a microwave-safe bowl. Suddenly portion control is looking a little easier, right?
