The Secret's Out

Dear Reader,

Standard journalism comes through a filter: one that says "real news" is disaster, scandal, tragedy and war. And even then we don't get the full story. As a YES! reader, you already know about there's other news: stories of people building a better world.

Project Censored has worked for years to uncover the most significant, underreported news stories of the year. For the first time, they have added a feature, 10 Signs of Hope: Stories of Action and Change, and they turned to YES! for help. Here's an extract:

Project Censored 2008 book cover

"YES! Magazine is the standard for this emerging trend in journalism. Since 1996, the people of YES! have done the deep investigations and dug up the stories around the world which remind people that the possibilities for change are not just an abstraction, they are real and happening."

Read our special preview from Project Censored 2008 to find out why YES! was the main source for their 10 Signs of Hope.
