"Habitat World" Online: City Limits?
The latest edition of "Habitat World" spotlights Habitat's work in the urban developing world. In the very near future, more of the world's population will live in urban areas than in rural, and much of that migration is by low-income and very low-income families. Visit our Web site to find out how Habitat is working with those families around the world.
Advocating for post-disaster housing solutions
More than 8,500 Habitat supporters have spoken out in support of post-disaster housing legislation in the U.S. Congress. These advocates encouraged their Senators to create a National Commission on Children and Disasters, including a housing expert to address post-disaster housing needs. Visit our Web site to learn more or add your support.
New public awareness campaign "A House, A Home"
Habitat for Humanity's new public service announcement campaign celebrates the sense of hope, joy and pride felt by partner families and volunteers. The PSAs are being distributed across the U.S. to help Habitat further raise awareness of its work to eliminate substandard housing worldwide.
The PSAs feature the song "A House, A Home" by singer-songwriter Anna Wilson of Nashville, Tenn. Go to www.habitat.org to view the PSA campaign or to listen to or download "A House, A Home."
