Whooooo Are You? Who, Who, Who, Who?
We're working on some changes to creativepro.com. To guide us in this process, we've set up a short reader survey. Could you do me a favor and fill it out?

Don't worry about unwanted solicitations as a result of the survey. We won't share your email addresses with any third party,
and we won't sell the information you give us.

Designing for Mobile Devices
Web expert Cameron Moll describes the pros and cons of four ways to design and deliver content for mobile devices. Which method is best for your sites?
"An approach that reworks only the aesthetics of Web content or ignores mobility typically fails to address the context-, content-,
and component-specific needs of mobile users and their devices."

Photoshop How-to: Go to the Next Level
If you want to improve the color of almost any image in one minute, try the Levels tool.
Colin Smith shows you how.
"Figure 1 is an image I snapped during a trip to Hong Kong. It's lacking a bit of contrast and
also has a colorcast. You will soon see a huge difference in image quality. You can download this
image to work with during the tutorial, or pick an image of your own."

TypeTalk: Waddya Wanna Know?
Here are a few of the questions Ilene Strizver answers in this month's TypeTalk:
- When I import text from a Word document that contains a URL, it comes in as an
active hyperlink. Is there a way to deactivate the link and make it plain text?
- Can I unlink text boxes without losing or disturbing the content?
- How do I make an alternate OpenType character the default character for that font,
without using the glyph palette or the preset categories?
For the answers to these and other head-scratchers, click the link below.

Camera Accessories You Need
Half of the fun of photography is buying new gear. Ben Long recommends three gizmos worth shelling out for.
"As long as the $30 WhiBal card is in the same light as your subject, it delivers an accurate white balance
reference. On cloudy days, or in low light or mixed lighting situations, it can make short work of getting
an accurate white balance. For example, Figure 3 shows an image I shot while walking down the street at night.
Because I knew that auto white balance wouldn't deliver a good reading, I held the WhiBal card in front of
my camera and took a shot. Later, I used this image to correct the bad white balance in my initial low-light shot."

Personalized Printing You Can Eat, Drink, and Mail
The world of 1:1 printing has moved way beyond direct mail. Frank J. Romano shares his favorite sources
for personalized printing, including mustard bottle labels and steaks.
"Pick the letters you want and they come pre-branded on each steak. Sorry, no photo brands — no one wants
their picture on what was the rear end of a steer."
