The Fall equinox is this weekend. Besides being the time when the Sun can be observed directly above the Earth's equator, this event kicks off a season of apple picking, chilly nights, and of course the addition of the new Mountain Range Coat Rack by Brave Space Design to my house! I was sad to read Jimmy Lee Sudduth's obituary in The Journal-Consitution yesterday. Sudduth is one of my favorite folk artists.

I was drooling over one of my favorite blogs, Purple Area today, and stumbled upon some amazing staircases.

Do you ever pick up O: At Home? Don't let the busy cover on the Fall 2007 issue fool you, it does not represent all of the great ideas inside.

Have you checked out Vanessa de Vargas's post at Turquoise about the showhouse she and her pal Jordan Cappella re-decorated? It is absolutely sumptuous! The house is Jennifer . . .

So, this has nothing to do with design, but I had to share. The funniest thing I saw last month was Kathy Griffin at The Fabulous Fox Theater.

Even if you are not one of the few couture mavens lucky enough to get a private tour of Coco Chanel's Paris apartment, you can tour it on the web.

Did any of you vote for the winner of Design Star? It was kind of tough.
