2007 Third Annual
BIM Awards, Part 2 This
issue exclusively sponsored by Autodesk
Autodesk is proud to sponsor Building the Future, which provides guidance monthly on key industry trends and the application of new technologies. Because, like Autodesk, this sections insights will help industry practitioners realize their ideas. Last month, I published
Part 1 of the article on the third annual BIM Awards hosted by the AIA
TAP (Technology in Architectural Practice) Knowledge Community that were
announced earlier this summer. This month's issue of the "Building
the Future" series discusses the remaining projects that won the
TAP BIM Award citations this year, including HOK's Royal London Hospital
project in London, which won in the category of Support for Human Use
and Innovative Program Requirements Using BIM, and the GSAs
BIM Pilot Project Successes and National BIM Program, which won the Jury's
Choice citation. The article also captures some of the jurys
thoughts and reasoning that went behind the citations and honorable mentions
that were awarded.
