from Jolinda Hackett This week, it's all about Japanese food! First, watch a brief video and learn how to roll sushi - once you get the hang of it, it's really quite simple. Browse through some other Japanses recipes, and have a meal of sushi, tempura, miso soup, and more! Enjoy! |

Think sushi is too tricky to make at home? Watch this video to learn how to make healthy, low-fat vegetarian sushi at home, and you'll be rolling in no time! My favorite fillings for vegetarian sushi are avocado and tofu (yes, tofu!), but feel free to get creative and experiment to find what you like best. Try combining, cream cheese, tempeh, carrots, bell peppers, cucumber or sweet potatoes.
With a soothing and mild flavor, miso soup is light and "brothy", not the type of soup that is a meal on its own, so serve as an appetizer or alongside your pikes of perfectly rolled sushi! Miso soup is a quick, easy and light soup and is a staple of Japanese cuisine.
