Hi everyone,

I’d like to send an invite to anyone who would like to join us on what we are calling a “Yarnell Painting Blitz” in the format of a Virtual Painting Party.  If you have any of the Jerry Yarnell books, starting on Monday, September 3rd, we are starting with book 1, painting 1 and we are going to paint each design from every book (in order) – 1 per week. 

I got this idea by hearing comments from friends and family over the last few years, especially the last few weeks since completing my Alexander Art Certification program on how my painting style has dramatically changed and thought…”well, I started my fine art education program with the Yarnell School of Fine Art, painted every design in the books way, way back, so let’s see how things have really changed to date”.    In a round about way, a discussion came up with Patty (a Yarnell fan) and she was excited about it since she has all the books and wanted to join me in what we are hoping will be a virtual group painting party.  So hopefully if any of you have the books, you can join us.   

This is non-commercial and it’s completely free to participate, but the only requirements are:

• you must work from the Jerry Yarnell book
• try to complete one painting per week
• you can join in at anytime, but follow the schedule so we all paint the same design together
• a picture and your own comments should be posted in our Discusson Group (which will be linked from our website starting on Monday) so we can all see and share our different painting styles. 

 
So… anyone want to join in?  if you are interested, on Monday, the signup information will be posted on our website at www.artbynature.ca and you can get started. Your username and password for the special forums we are setting up for this event will be emailed to you approximately 24 hours after the registration for whichever week/project you are signing up for.

You don’t have to paint every single painting, but Patty and I will be and it’s going to be a blast!
