With an average of just 60 calories and plenty of vitamins A and C, apricots are a healthy and sweet choice. Apricots are just about to go out of season, so hurry up and enjoy them while you still can! Slice them in half and eat them plain, or stock up and try some of these fabulous recipes.
Peaches, grown through much of the southern and western United States, have gotten their 15 minutes of fame in pop culture several times over. If you don't remember the Seinfeld episode where Kramer lusts after some amazing peaches, you might remember the lyrics from the pop hit "Peaches" in the mid nineties: "Millions of peaches, peaches for me!" These days, a Canadian rocker has claimed the name "Peaches". Why not give peaches, (the fruit!) a few minutes of fame on your dinner table too?
Mangos are truly a global fruit that can be found in markets just about anywhere you may be. Whether you like them sprinkled with salt and lime, as in Mexican cuisine, or dipped in sugar and chili, as in Asia or pureed into a sweet drink, as in India, mangos are a cool summertime treat.
