Sir David Attenborough explores why most scientists are so firmly convinced that this warming of the p***t is not simply another cycle, while Can We Save P***t Earth? looks to the future and the impact climate change will have on current and future generations. Plus, Justin Rowlatt and his family spend a year living the environmentally friendly life in Ethical Man. |

The BBC's Dan Snow follows the making of the British Museum's biggest exhibition in a generation and tells the story of its subject, The First Emperor of China. Qin Shihuangdi founded the world's oldest political entity and created the spectacular Terracotta Army to guard his vast tomb. Dan meets the British Museum's curator Jane Portal, and the design team, as they create a blockbuster exhibition. He also travels to China to visit the huge necropolis at Xian with its thousands of warriors.

Actor, presenter and travel writer Michael Palin has reached K2, the second highest mountain in the world, but cannot pass into India. A high-level stand-off between the Pakistani and Indian armies means that he has to detour south into the Punjab to the only official crossing point between the two countries. Michael heads for Dharamsala where he visits an astrological centre and discovers he was an elephant in a previous existence, and has an audience with the Dalai Lama.

World Challenge 2007 profiles the final two of the 12 finalist projects. Herbal Healing features Sa Pa Essentials (SPE) in Vietnam which encourages sustainable cultivation of medicinal species which have been used for centuries by the local population. While Colombian initiative Peace Woods follows a timber company which provides a decent living for former militiamen involved in Colombia's various armed groups.
