JONESING FOR SOME JERK

We aren't talking about the person that cut you off on the freeway
yesterday or the telemarketer who always seems to call right when
dinner is served. We are talking about spicy, yet sweet marinated
and grilled meats originating from the Caribbean Islands guaranteed
to make your next dinner a bit more exciting and exotic! Jerk
marinades and rubs are composed of an intoxicating combination of
fiery spices and herbs that wake up your senses and perk up your
palate. Say hello to allspice and hot scotch bonnet peppers with a
bit of cloves, cinnamon, scallions, nutmeg, thyme, and garlic added
in for an explosion of taste! So crank up some Reggae or put on an
old Beach Boys album and try one of our Jerk recipes to give your
taste buds a culinary adventure right in your own home!

PASS ME A POPSICLE, PRETTY PLEASE!

Remember that feeling of thrill and excitement when hearing that
familiar, but faint tune of the Ice Cream truck circling the block?
All thoughts or cares of games of jacks, hopscotch, or running
through the sprinkler are gone in an instant because it's frozen
treat time! Now you probably remember that same feeling of panic in
the pit of your stomach that the music is getting louder and louder,
but you haven't made it to the change bowl or Mom's purse yet. And
there it is...the Ice Cream truck goes whizzing by and you've missed
him again. Let's rewrite history, shall we? With a myriad of
tempting and terrific homemade popsicles chilling in your freezer,
you no longer need that truck's peddled push ups or rocket pops. No
more feelings of panic or missing out, well, except maybe when you've
eaten the last popsicle...guess it is time for another batch!
