NEW D-WAY INTERVIEW AT dcshoes.com
Top: Changing the bandages. Bottom: The current state of the knee.
Last week Danny Way underwent his 10th knee surgery, and as a follow up weve posted a fresh interview with Danny at dcshoes.com. Weve also posted some footage of Danny taking care of the knee in the skate section. In the interview he talks about why he went under the knife (again), the unusual procedure that involves other people's body parts, and how hes spending his downtime while he recovers. And, what about defending his Gold medal in Skateboarding Big Air at X Games in less than a week? Remember, Dannys won the event 3 times in a row and is the only person to ever win it. Go here to get the word straight from Danny and see the footage.

NEW TRAVIS PASTRANA AUTOBIOGRAPHY OUT NOW
Make sure to pick up the all-new book, The Big Jump, The Tao of Travis Pastrana, hitting shelves this summer. The book, written by Travis with the help of author Alyssa Roenigk, digs deep into Travis short but unarguably amazing life and career.
You may ask, how can a 23 year old have an autobiography out already? Well, when youve done as much as Travis Pastrana, it fully makes sense. He was the youngest world freestyle motocross champion ever at 14, and since then has backflipped into the San Francisco harbor, backflipped into the Grand Canyon, double backflipped, and has opened Americans eyes to the world of rally car racing. The Big Jump provides a look at these events and others, all from Travis unique point of view. Youll also get a rare pass into Travis very close-knit family circle. The end result: an autobiography thats not just entertaining, but remarkably motivational and inspirational.
The Big Jump is available at major booksellers everywhere, or check out www.espnbooks.com for more information.

NATE ADAMS WINS AST DEW TOUR, CLEVELAND
Nate Adams, backflip laz-z boy.
Last weekend at the Cleveland stop of the 2007 AST Dew Tour DCs Nate Adams took the FMX win in a shortened, bad weather riddled event. That means Nates two for two on the 07 AST Dew Tour!
In the prelims Nate was being pressured by some awesome runs by the rest of the competitors, but the extension and magnitude of his tricks, including the backflip nac-nac and a backflip cliffhanger, put him in 1st place early on. High winds then caused the officials to cancel the finals, meaning Nates high prelim score slotted him as the winner of the Cleveland stop, aka the Right Guard Open.
With a solid season fueling Nate with confidence, this weekend hes in Madrid for the big X-Fighters competition, then hell be in Los Angeles for X Games 13 next weekend. Go here for more contest info on the AST Dew Tour in Cleveland. Congrats Nate!

CHECK OUT PASTRANA IN THE NEW DiRT VIDEO GAME
Pastrana's digitized Subi drifts an in-game corner.
Out for less than a month, world rally legend Colin McRae has released the latest game in his highly successful (8 million+ sold) rally racing video game series: DiRT. This time around Colin brought Travis Pastrana into the mix, so youll find Travis #199 Subaru WRX STi as one of the available cars as well as Travis' enthusiastic voiceovers throughout the game.
DiRT is the most realistic rally game out there. Just like in real rally racing, youll work your way through timed stages as you rally through, battling it out on legit courses across the globe. For example, Pikes Peak: the game makers have meticulously recreated every turn, cliff, and blind corner on the famed loose gravel course. The realism of the game goes beyond the graphics to bring in realistic handling: the gaming engine lets you feel every grain of gravel and chunk of dirt as you pilot Pastranas Subi.
In addition to typical rally cars, there are a variety of other automobiles to drive (45 total), and different disciplines (6 varieties), plus the ability to do online gaming with other rally fans.
Realistic enough for ya?
Colin McRaes DiRT is available on PS3, X Box 360, and PC formats

BOHAN 2ND IN DIRT, KAGY 3RD IN VERT AT AST DEW TOUR CLEVELAND
Bohan, opposite 360 tailwhip.
Last weekend the DC BMX team experienced another very successful weekend: Corey Bohan took 2nd in BMX Dirt and Chad Kagy took 3rd in BMX Vert at the AST Dew Tour stop in Cleveland.
First up for the weekend was the dirt competition. Corey took the early lead in the comp, unleashing super stylish no-handed one-footers to tailwhips, opposite truckdrivers and 360 whips, and a barspin to tailwhip. In a repeat of the close Bohan/Nyquist battle that happened a few weeks ago at Elevation, Corey was edged out last minute and was forced into 2nd place.

Kagy, flatspin tailwhip.
Over on the Vert ramp, Kagy slide out on his first run, putting the pressure on for a strong second run. He looked solid too on his second go, pulling a superman seatgrab barspin, a scissor-kick superman seatgrab, and a flair whip before going down on a barspin flair attempt. The run was enough for the final vert podium spot.
Please check out www.dewtour.com for more photos, recaps, and results from Cleveland. The 2007 Dew Tour resume in Portland on August 16-19.
