  Dear Criss,

It's one of the world's most renowned motorcars. It blends hand-craftsmanship, innovative technology, and timeless design. Exterior surfaces of its monocoque aluminum bodyshell announce a lean, assertive manner, and digital audio and climate-controlled seating enhancements bring more comfort to its already sumptuous interior. It's powered by a 4.2-liter V8 engine, offering extraordinary levels of performance and refinement. It's a truly agile luxury sedan, beautifully sculptured, exceptionally strong, a joy to drive. This is the newest generation Jaguar XJ, and you're invited to the experience.

Forbes.com's "Safest Cars for 2007" list is out, and Jaguar's flagship XJ sedan is on it. XJ was selected because of high front, side and rear crash-test ratings and fewer injury-related insurance claims. XJ's safety systems include Adaptive Restraint Technology System1 that tailors driver and passenger airbag deployment according to impact severity, bodyweight and seat position, Emergency Brake Assist, tire pressure monitoring, and more.

Inside any Jaguar, you can expect automatic and precise climate control, with air filtered efficiently before it reaches you. In XJ models, a four-zone system — standard on Super V8 and optional for Vanden Plas and XJR — allows rear-seat passengers to tune temperature perfectly. And in the S-TYPE, XJ and the XK, driver and front passengers utilize independent settings, ensuring comfort.

Jaguar's C-XF has been named 2007 North American Production Preview Vehicle of the Year by the South East Automotive Media Organization (SEAMO). The award recognizes vehicles most likely to shape the future of the automotive industry. C-XF was selected from 11 concept cars launched during the 2007 show season. According to juror Chris Poole, "C-XF interprets Jaguar's traditional 'grace, space, pace' in a fresh, new way — no easy task."

1 Safety belts constitute the primary protection system for drivers and passengers in collisions. The airbag Adaptive Restraint Technology System (A.R.T.S) is a supplement to the safety belts. Although airbags provide additional protection, airbags alone are not sufficient. Always wear your safety belt and properly secure children under 12 years old in the back seat away from airbags. Never place an infant in the front seat.
