I'll probably send
a few notes over the next two weeks -- why?
Well, I couldn't wait to show you some of
the stills from the book trailer -- before the trailer itself goes up.
They are very, very cool -- and wait until you see this trailer!
I was blown away by it.
But I can't put it up just yet. It's not ready
-- but almost! The team that's been making it is perfecting every
image in it -- and you're going to love it. It is magnificent.
The book trailer(tm) is two minutes or so long,
and the TV commercial drawn from it will be about 30 seconds. It is an
incredibly innovative video, and a great way to get word out about the
book. I invite you to post my book trailers and teasers around the
internet wherever you participate in discussions, or at your websites
or myspace pages.

However, if
you go here, you can see some still photos from the trailer,
including one behind-the-scenes shot.
In the coming weeks, I'll have
behind-the-scenes information on the creation of this book trailer, as
well as some "making-of" video, and more. All of that will be in the
Members Area first -- a sneak peek for you.

Raul took of our dog Wacey at the local doggie beach -- even an
underwater shot of the famous mutt as he swims around trying to grab
the ever-elusive tennis ball.)
The book trailer, in its finished form, depicts
specific characters from The Vampyricon novels, particularly from
The Lady of Serpents (because of the paperback coming up)
-- including the Virgin of Shadows in the Disk dream, the Ashling
within the foundries of Taranis-Hir, Enora herself in a moonlit winter
landscape surrounded by wolves, and Pythia, a prisoner of the golden
mask as she sits upon a throne high upon a pyramid overlooking the vampyric
kingdom of Aztlanteum.
And there's a moment with Aleric, too,
approaching an ancient city, wings spread and sword drawn.
It is really beautiful. The pyramid in
particular is unforgettable, and the vision of the Ashling is a shock.
I'll put up more stuff about the trailer in the
Members Area over the coming days -- and you'll be the FIRST to see
the complete and finished book trailer, because you're a subscriber to
this newsletter. I want to make sure you see everything before anyone
else does -- and I'll get exclusive content regarding the trailer in
the Members Area soon.
Later on, there'll be a brief Queen of Wolves
trailer for that hardcover, as well. Additionally, The Lady of
Serpents trailer will be edited into a TV commercial for showing on
cable. I'll give you more information as I get it. Just remember: this
is not a trailer for a movie, but for a book.
Right now, there are about four ebooks in the
Members Area, just for you, plus two screensavers. I'll be adding a
screensaver from The Priest of Blood Book Trailer soon so you
can have that right on your computer. Later on, The Lady of Serpents
Book Trailer will also be turned into a screensaver for you.
And I've just added special Desktop Wallpaper
from the book trailer of The Lady of Serpents. You've got to go see
this -- and put it on the desktop of your computer.

Vampyricon Swag
Be sure and click that link above for some
freebies in regular mail. Just this weekend, we've sent out a few
