The three have all been nominated in the “Best Male Action Sports” category for their amazing performances over the past year. DC riders own three of the five prestigious nominee spots in the category!

Additionally, Travis has been nominated in the 2007 ESPY category of “Best Play”.

Danny Way (pictured above) is nominated for his dominant win in the Skateboarding Big Air Competition at last summer’s X Games 12 in Los Angeles; it was the third straight year that D-Way, the original visionary of the MegaRamp, has taken Gold in the event.

This is the second straight year Ricky Carmichael (pictured right) has been nominated for an ESPY. Last year’s AMA Supercross and Motocross champ has won more championships and titles than any other rider in history, and is generally regarded as the “Greatest of All Time.”

Travis Pastrana (pictured below) is nominated in both categories thanks to his unbelievable double backflip during the FMX Best Trick event at X Games 12. It was the first time the trick had ever been done in competition, and Travis is still the only rider to have pulled the double back.

The ESPYs honor the top moments, most emotional stories, and best performances from the past year in sports across all categories. This year the ESPN event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and Lebron James and will take over the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on Sunday, July 15.
