VISTA-FRIENDLY NETWORKED PROJECTORS RUN WINDOWS CE 6.0
NEC Display Solutions of America has introduced a line of intelligent,
networked projectors claimed to be the first to support the Windows
Vista "Connect to a Network Projector" wizard. The NPx150 series

WINDOWS MOBILE PDA TARGETS EDUCATION
Data Evolution Corp. is entering the handheld PDA market with a rugged,
full VGA-resolution device aimed at "demanding enterprise and education
users." The VGA E3 runs Windows Mobile 5.0 and incorporates a range of

HIGH-PERFORMANCE FANLESS TERMINALS RUN WEPOS
POS (point-of-sales/service) terminal vendor Posiflex has introduced a
series of high-performance, fanless, touchscreen terminals for
hospitality, healthcare, retail, and specialized applications. The KS
Fan-free Touch Terminals support processors up to 1.5 GHz and run
Windows Embedded for Point of Service (WEPOS).

WINDOWS MOBILE HANDSET OFFERS SEAMLESS FMC
NewStep Networks, a supplier of fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) software
for carriers and enterprises, says it has certified FMC interoperability
of a new SIP-based dual-mode (GSM/VoWiFi) handset from Paragon Wireless.
The hipi 2300 runs Windows Mobile and includes a 1.9 Mp camera and
Windows Media audio/video support.

HIGHLY CONFIGURABLE DATA ACQUISITION BOX RUNS WINDOWS XP EMBEDDED
MTI Instruments (MTII) has launched a stand-alone multi-channel data
acquisition box that help users solve complex measurement problems with
an intuitive, non-programming interface. Dubbed EVE, the system runs
Windows XP Embedded (XPe) and is claimed to be "100% compatible,
out-of-the-box, with virtually all sensors."

SPRINT READIES WINDOWS MOBILE 6.0 EV-DO HANDHELD
Sprint is readying a new Pocket PC phone manufactured by Taiwanese
device-maker HTC. The "Mogul" will eventually support EV-DO Rev. A
download rates up to 3.1 Mbps, and will be the first CDMA phone in the
U.S. to run Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional Edition, Sprint claims.
