Dear customer

It has come to our attention that in the last week, our customers have

inadvertently received an email that was meant to be received by Rivers

Staff only (The email detailed procedures about clicking on the letter C in

"your shopping cart" in the check out part of our web site that

allowed staff to claim their 25% staff discount on all products online).

Investigations on how this happened have lead to the conclusion that a staff

member deliberately, but misguidedly sent it to customers as per our normal

mail out to customers each fortnight.

Our IT staff are in the process of sorting this out at the moment, as we

have no way of controlling whether the person accessing it is staff or

non-staff (we have over 1,400 staff, so pretty hard to monitor) and thus we

have to honour the discount to all persons who click on it, be they staff or

customers until it is rectified in a few days time.

Kind regards

Rivers Marketing Team.
