Urgent Action Alert: Don’t Let Congress Undo State and Local Animal Laws!

This is one comfy pig!

A growing number of states and localities have passed laws aimed at protecting farmed animals from some of the worst abuses. Alarmingly, a small provision (Section 123) tucked into the pending Farm Bill could undo these important efforts by prohibiting states and local governments from banning activities they deem to be contrary to public health, safety, or morals.

Please take action today! Call your federal legislators to let them know you oppose Section 123 of the 2007 House Farm Bill which would which would prevent states and localities from passing laws to protect animals from inhumane treatment and to protect food safety. Learn more and contact your elected officials today!
