During May and June, millions of students graduate from high school all around the world. It's a major achievement and milestone in their lives. Ironically, the graduation ceremony is called "commencement," which means a beginning, or start, rather than an ending.

There's a well-worn saying that goes "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." I think that's especially true of high school graduation. Like Lucy stepping through the wardrobe and emerging in the land of Narnia, magnificent wonders await in a mysterious new world.

Graduate or not, the world is a wondrous place. And, like the kingdom of Narnia, it's full of adventure, beauty and danger, with a king who is not tame, but who is good.
