Boxes and Arrows:
Hey True Believers!

On this day 51 years ago, Alfred E. Neuman first graced the front of Mad Magazine. What, you ask, does that have to do with Boxes & Arrows?

In the midst of the madness that we are drawn into and help create every day, Mad is a reminder to step back and remember something very important: We are working with people to design things for people. As a part of this process, we can take many paths, including the Zen angle and the people positions.

This weeks issue celebrates two book reviews that examine these two approaches. Clifton Evans finds his Zen in Robert Hoekman Jr.'s Designing the Obvious, and Austin Govella bows under the weight of the exact and comprehensive The Persona Lifecycle by Pruit and Adlin.

Check out the reviews to see if these volumes should be the latest to grace your bookshelves (or at least your shelfari).

Go quietly in contemplation or communication. See you in a fortnight.
