Vultures Fly Over Virginia Tech

Some tops news organizations advertised their Virginia Tech coverage in Google and other search engines shortly after the tragedy, including The New York Times and The Washington Post. Google served dozens of sponsored links to news sites about the university massacre.

According to Danny Sullivan, editor of the Search Engine Land newsletter, "...keyword ads can also leave you looking crass -- that you're tapping in for a business purpose on a tragedy." Some of these ads are not running anymore, but I saw them with my own eyes! I think it is deplorable for news outlets to capitalize on this tragedy. What's your opinion?
