his video, "The Landlord," that's created a real buzz around the new site. The short clip is a certified Web

Fifteen Minutes of Online Fame
What are your kids learning from Virginia Tech gunman Seung-Hui Cho, DJ Don Imus, and actor Alec Baldwin? Are their 15 minutes of online fame giving children an unwanted message? Traditionally, kids look to parents, teachers,
and friends to get a sense of who they are. But increasingly, online communities fill that role. How does that
impact their development?
- Q: I'm glad my 12-year-old is reading for fun, but she's picking books, like the Gossip Girl series, about cliques and mean girls. What's your take on these?
- A: Unfortunately, there's plenty of negative behavior in these series, as well as some pretty edgy material. Parents of tweens may prefer to steer them toward books with positive role models. And parents whose kids already devour the iffier books can check out our discussion guide.
