AND NOW A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR...

--"I Never Should Have Tolerated It!"--

Mary was angry. She was losing her husband to divorce. Why? Lack of
money--the debt was out of control. Hurtful things were said. Her
relationship with her husband declined and never recovered. It's sad,
really. But not uncommon. Not at all. Did you know over 70% of marriages
that end in divorce are due to financial difficulties. If your marriage is
suffering because of a high debt load, you need to do something about it
NOW. Not tomorrow. Not next week. If you wait any longer, you may be
bankrupt, divorced or both. My name is Clint Holland. I've developed a
system that anyone can use to pay off all their debt, including the
mortgage, in just 3-5 years--without bankruptcy, debt consolidation, or any
unethical tactics. Will you let me help you? Member BBB.

"BEST CHOICES FROM THE PEOPLE'S PHARMACY"
The Graedons, two of our favorite authors, from "The People's Pharmacy" have
done it again. Their new book, "Best Choices from the People's Pharmacy" is
loaded with information that should help just about everyone out there.
This book can help you make informed choices about health conditions you &
your family may experience. The solutions could include home remedies,
supplements, over the counter and prescription medications. They alert the
readers to little known side effects that some popular prescription
medications may induce. They also have a ratings chart where they list the
various remedies they discuss for a condition, and rate their effectiveness.
They cover treatments for 25 common conditions (e.g. acne, cough,
depression, weight loss, etc) in depth, and have another section with 12 of
their favorite home remedies for additional conditions. The Graedons, and
your Make a Note editor, are big advocates of patients being an active part
of their medical care. Patients should explore all options and do their
homework before, during, and after seeing medical specialists. This book
would be a great place to start. If your doctor asks you for the source of
your information, practically every point in the book has a footnote with
references to the studies involved. Personal accounts, historical
perspectives, and information that can truly make a difference...this is a
book is a must for every home. To read more about it, or to purchase, go

AGENT COOL BLUE RECALL
We had recently recommended a Listerine product to help kids (and adults)
find the plaque they are missing during brushing. Sadly, Listerine recently
recalled all of this product and we didn't feel they really publicized it
very well. So we wanted to alert any of you who purchased it to return the
product to the store you purchased it from, or contact Listerine for other
details. For more information you can go to...
http://www.agentcoolblue.com/
Or call 1-888-222-0249. POST IT...with the product if you purchased it.

WALK OR *RUN* IN THE RAIN
Just about everyone has had that conversation at one time or another, do you
stay drier by walking in the rain or running? If you walk, it takes you
longer, but if you run, won't you run into more raindrops? Well, two
enterprising scientists actually conducted a study that involved weighing
sweat suits after walking a certain distance in the rain and running. Turns
out the runners were right, you will stay 30%-50% drier by running. But did
they calculate how many more people might slip and fall in the rain by
running? Hmmmm. So if you want to stay dry, then run, but be careful to
keep those feet well planted. To read more about it, go to...

RECIPE: Easy Turnovers (from Lynn C.)

1 box refrigerated pie crust (room temperature, unfolded)
White from 1 egg, slightly beaten
1 can cherry or blueberry or apple pie filling (may want to dice
apples--easy with a scissors while still in the can)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Coat 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil.
Cut each crust into quarters (pizza cutter works great for this).
Brush all edges with egg white to prepare for sealing.
Put 1/4 cup fruit filling slightly to one side of each wedge.
Fold other side over the filling and seal edges with fork tines.
Put on foil-lined baking sheets. Brush tops with egg white, sprinkle with
sugar and/or cinnamon if desired.
Cut 3 slits in the top of each piece.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown (okay if turnovers leak a little)
Transfer to wire rack for cooling. Makes 8.
Great with vanilla ice cream!
POST IT...in your recipe box & on your shopping list.

FINAL WORDS

QUOTE
"So often when something bad happens and people ask, 'Why? Why?,' they
don't really want to know why. Even if they knew the reason why, it
wouldn't help. They just want it not to have happened."
