Week By Week Technique
Hi Criss,
It has been so much fun to watch the growing number of pages for our Album in a Month Contest (now extended for one more month)!
A special congratulations to those who have already finished their albums!
If you're new, or on the fence about whether you should participate, I would urge you to give it a try. Whether you finish or not, you'll be a lot further along toward finishing an album you can treasure for the rest of your life!
Here are the contest rules.
Correction
In the Digital Scrapper newsletter last week I mistakenly attributed a double page spread to Wendy. While Wendy is an excellent scrapper, she did not make the pages I posted. They were made by Robyn.
Some of you were alert enough to catch the error because you're familiar with Sally, the darling little girl featured in many of Robyn's pages.
Designer Page
This week I'm featuring a page by Penny, one of our talented Design Team members. Her album chronicles the building of a sun room attached to her home.
On the page you see here, Penny is celebrating the completion of the sun room. She draws us into the page with one large, attractive photo, and then she tells us about it in the journaling.
I love the way she has her dog (selected out of a photo) peeking up over the torn paper. You can sense her relief and feeling of accomplishment in the title and the words "All done!" next to her dog.
The starburst is a nice touch, too. It draws your attention.
Penny shows us how easy it is to complete lovely pages quickly, if we keep it simple! She let the papers, torn edges, and embellishments from Michelle Shefveland's Simply Moments CD add just the right artistic look.
Share Your Album With Others!
When you finish a scrapbook album, don't limit yourself to having just a physical album. How about making it into a slideshow that you can email to family and friends?
Photoshop Elements and Adobe Photoshop for both Windows and Mac make it easy for you to create a slideshow you can email or put on a CD or DVD. Here's how to do it:
