Week By Week Technique

Hi Criss,

We're starting the fourth week of our Album in a Month contest using Michelle Sheveland's new CD, Simply Moments!

Several people have expressed the desire to have a little more time to finish up their albums, so guess what?

I'm going to extend the deadline to April 30th!

Whew! I can just hear those sighs of relief out there!

If you need to refresh yourself on the contest rules, or if you're new and want to participate, go to the Digital Scrapper Forum to read all about it!

The Big Apple

By the time you get this newsletter, I'll be in New York. Needless to say I have a lot of last minute things to do before I leave the house at 5 a.m., so I'll keep this short and sweet. Here's the last article in the "Album in 2 Months" series.

last pageThe Finishing Touches

Creating an album is not a simple task, as you may have discovered during our Album in a Month contest. You have to:

* Decide on your theme
* Gather your photos and process them (read: fix them)
* Figure out which photos go on each spread
* Choose a kit that matches your theme
* Design each double spread
* Make it all look pretty with embellishments
* Somehow get the journaling in

When you finish your last double page spread, you may think it's time to breathe a sigh of relief, but don't forget about that pesky last page. Have you thought about what you'll put there?

The last page of an album shouldn't be a "we went there and did that" sort of page. It's time to bring closure to your entire album, so let me suggest several ways to do that.

Love and scrapbooking success,

Linda
