 Q.I have a wonderful "Fine Art Print Plate Signed" of a painting done by Norman Rockwell. It has a Certificate of Authenticity but I am not sure what Fine Art Print Plate Signed means. Can you help me?

A. Thank you for your inquiry. No need to remove the print from it's frame; "Plate signed" is a term which means that the only signature on the print is the one that is part of the print itself (the one that was original to the painting itself, and reproduced in the plate from which this was printed) - in other words, your print is not hand-signed by Rockwell, rather, the signature is part of the print itself, and it's the one you see prominently in the lower right corner. And by the way, this is a GREAT image!
