AND NOW A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR...
--Card Balances Soar in Holiday Spending Spree--
The average American spends $935 for Christmas gifts every year. The 2006
holiday season was no different. Now, many Americans are feeling the pinch
as they struggle to meet higher minimum payments. Are you one of them? If
you're suffering because of a high debt load, it's NOT your fault. The
system has been designed to milk you dry. Here's what this is all about: My
name is Clint Holland. I was once $213,000 in debt. But thanks to
providence, I discovered a breakthrough in debt elimination and became debt
free in just 4 years. Now I've developed a system that anyone can use to pay
off all their debt, including the mortgage, in just 3-5 years... without
bankruptcy, debt consolidation, or any unethical tactics. Will you let me
help you? Member BBB.

MILITARY HEALTH CARE AND YOUR REPRESENTATIVES
Just about anyone in a military family can tell you that the problems with
military medical care are in no way limited to the Iraqi War Vets at Walter
Reed. My personal family experience with military/VA medical care spans
almost 30 years and about 13 different facilities. I won't go into all the
stories of misdiagnoses, close calls, and plain poor care that we have
received. If you are a military family, then I'm sure you or someone you
know has had similar experiences. It has always seemed the doctors and
other staff at military facilities fall into one extreme or the other.
There are those who are there to truly serve and provide the best medical
care possible, and some of these people we are proud to call personal
friends. Then there is the other extreme where the medical "professional"
is so bad that they either can't pay their civilian malpractice insurance,
or maintain a civilian practice, so they work in the military system & just
care about getting through the day as quickly as possible and getting that
paycheck. The latter are the dangerous ones, and sometimes seem to be in
the majority. On many occasions, we've had to seek out the good doctors, to
help counter the orders of the poor physicians. Often these good doctors
are just as frustrated by the system as the patients are. So I'm asking you
to contact your senators and congressmen. Let them know that this is an
ongoing problem with most military health care, NOT just a problem for the
vets at Walter Reed. Most representatives have website based email
programs, so it is easy to fill out their forms. It is well past time that
someone tried to fix the entire overburdened system, not just put a bandage
on a sinking ship. To email your representatives go to... www.senate.gov
and www.house.gov
POST IT...Forward this note to all your friends/family who have military
medical care.

UNCONDITIONAL TRIP INSURANCE
M. H. Ross Insurance Company offers a travel/trip insurance policy option,
where you can cancel your trip for any reason not covered by the enhanced
policy and still be covered for 75% of the trip costs. One big catch
though, is that the policy must be purchased within 14 days of booking your
travel. These days with so many unexpected problems arising, it might be a
wise investment. Read more about it on their website at...
http://www.tripadvantage.com/
Or call 800-581-7677

PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN WITH A CAR
How often have we held our breath as a child has run down a driveway, into
the street, to retrieve a toy? This is a scary thing not only for those
watching the child, but also for the drivers. The other day, I saw a mom
with a great idea. She had pulled her vehicle out of the driveway, then
parked it across the mouth of the driveway, to block entry to the street.
Larger toys would be blocked by the vehicle, and children would be blocked
from chasing little toys into the street. Better a little bump to a
vehicle, than a big bump to a child. POST IT...near your child's outside
toys.

NEED ALIGNMENT OR TIRE BALANCING?
Sometimes it may seem like your car needs an expensive alignment, when all
it really needs is a less expensive wheel balancing. But how can you tell?
Here's the trick. If your car is pulling to one side or the other, then it
probably needs an alignment. But if you are feeling a vibration in your
steering wheel, then your front tires are probably out of balance. If you
feel a vibration in your seat, then your back tires probably need balancing.
POST IT...with your car's manual.

1/2 C. saltine Cracker crumbs
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly coat baking sheet with cooking spray.
Combine honey and mustard in small bowl. Set aside 2 T. for sauce. Spread

Disinfect Your Keyboard, Afternoon Water, & More)
This is a little early to be recommending this back issue, but we wanted to

the amount to $2000. With many kids heading to the military after high
school graduation, you might know someone who could take advantage of this
promotion. Also hurricane season isn't far away, and they're predicting
(again) a wicked season, so check out our article on great hurricane
shutters. Spring cleaning?...then be sure to disinfect your keyboards.
We'll also tell you why afternoon water is better. All this and more in

FINAL WORDS
JOKE (thanks to Laura G.)
A CHURCH BULLETIN OOOPS:
"Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church.
So ends a friendship that began in their school days."
QUOTE
"The amount of sunlight reaching Earth is dimming--a surprising fact given
the international concern over global warming. As documented by the
recipient of this year's Earthwatch Institute Film Award, 'Dimming the Sun,'
progress has been made in slowing and halting solar dimming after the
imposition of pollution controls. However, this progress comes at an ironic
price: Evidence is mounting that without pollution, we will lose the
cooling effects of global dimming, and accelerate global warming instead."
~~from a National Geographic brochure describing movies they will be showing
this year.
