This email is a public service announcement from me to anyone who has or knows someone who has a dog. DO NOT Ever Ever Ever feed your doggy grapes. I was hysterical earlier this week because I fed my boy Mr. Serge a grape and, apparently, grapes are the worst thing to feed dogs (worse than chocolate!) and can cause kidney failure, which can lead to death. We took him to the emergency room at the local animal hospital and he had to spend the night getting fluids. He’s ok now, but it was very traumatic for everyone involved.

Even if your pup has eaten grapes without incident, don’t give him any more because vets don’t know what causes the reaction or when it will be set off.

Sweet and Juicy

But I don’t mean to take too negative spin on grapes (I mean, I still like ‘em), or other juicy fruits for that matter. Now that spring is on its way (one hopes), stock up on some bright, juicy pieces.
