noteworthy exhibit: public housing in new orleans
The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is showing photographs of New Orleans public housing taken by leading New York Times photo-journalist Fred R. Conrad. The photographs document the current condition of the interiors and exteriors of the housing developments giving evidence to what tenants, housing activists, and preservationists have been saying since Katrina: most of the apartments in public housing in New Orleans were untouched by the storm.
