DAYTONA BRIEFS: Kevin Harvick takes the Orbitz Busch Series 300

Do not adjust your eyes. This is not a sentence left over from an ’06 Busch Series race report: Kevin Harvick led a top-12 sweep of Nextel Cup drivers in the season-opening Orbitz Busch Series 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
Yep, the “Buschwackers” are at it again. Last year, Cup drivers won 33 of the 35 Busch races, including all the major, big-dollar, high-profile events. Saturday, less than two hours into this season, they took the checkered flag much like they had taken it most of the time last year.
Harvick, the reigning series champion, beat Dave B***y, Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer, Mark Martin, Martin Truex Jr., Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin, Greg Biffle, Robby Gordon and Matt Kenseth in the 120-lap, 300-mile race. The first “real” Busch driver...
